Day 218192 in lockdown…

How are we all doing? I know the struggle is real right now for everyone in these uncertain times and we don’t know whether we’re coming or going. Also we have a lot of time to ourselves and our thoughts so try to be mindful with what you allow in, be kind to yourself. Not going to lie I’ve been lazy with my posting on my blog. Sometimes I get into the mood of thinking what’s the point? Who cares? Why am I doing this? And the answer I always have to remind myself is that this is for ME! I enjoy the whole creative process of putting looks together so why stop something just because of what people might think. Especially during these times it’s important to do things that make you feel good. Alsooo it was so nice to actually put on real clothes instead of joggers, leggings or pjs even if it was just for a pic lol.

Anywhooo lets move onto the looks…

So I’m so into the whole super baggy trousers, chunky boots and oversized blazers look, it just gives me grungey 90’s vibes and I’m here for it. I wanted to create different looks with 3 staple pieces being a black blazer which is just a must have! A pair of chunky boots and faux leather trousers. I feel like these are timeless pieces you will have in your wardrobe for years.

Are you a fan of mesh or do you think it’s too risky? I’m defo a fan but understand that it’s quite revealing and may not be everyones cup of tea. However if you wear it in a tasteful way then I think it can look good. I thought pairing the whole look with mesh tops just added a touch of shhhexiness as the trousers and blazer are oversized and boyish. These outfits are quite versatile and can be worn day or night just by switching up accessories and shoes. I’ve linked all the items below, a couple are out of stock so linked alternatives. The coloured mesh top I got from a vintage shop in Shoreditch which for the life of me I can’t remember what it’s called because was a little while ago and the top doesn’t have a label so that’s great.

Sooo here we are, 2nd lockdown wooo hooo (not!) How’s everyone doing? I know it can be a struggle and hard to stay motivated but we just have to keep going and make the best out of the situation. After all there’s not much we can do so why not use this time wisely and do things that you might not have time to do on your normal schedule, could be a workout, reading, catching up on your fave series, learning to cook/bake something new or anything that makes you happy :) Also don’t be hard on yourself, sometimes we put pressure on ourselves if we haven’t had a productive day but that’s ok sometimes being a cabbage is cool lol. I might do a post on what I’ve been doing to get through my days in lockdown, so stay tuned for that. One thing I really wanted to put more time into was my blog as I’ve been slacking lately and this is the perfect opportunity for that. Also I always have fun creating looks and playing dress up, even if it is to sit in my room taking pics at least it passes the time haha.

I wanted to do a post on these boots my gorge bestie Zara got me from Asos, you might have seen them everywhere on Insta and I’m obsessed! I know they’re not everyones cup of tea but if you love a chunky boot (which is so in at the moment) then you need these in your life! They’re so edgy and grungy and are definitely a statement piece. Also I love how the boots come quite high up the leg because sometimes wearing ankle boots with a t-shirt dress or shorts can look a bit odd depending on the style. I wanted to create easy looks that you can pair with these boots and I thought a t-shirt dress would be perfect for that. A t-shirt dress is perfect for when you want to make minimal effort but still look cute and I know some t-shirts can come up a bit short but that’s wear the trustee cycling shorts come into play because nobody wants their cheeks making an appearance. Also I know it’s a tad cold to be having our legs out, howeveeerrr you can just layer up because who wants to sacrifce wearing a cute outfit just because you might get a bit of frost bite lol (I mean probs me sometimes because I hate the cold but anywhooooo moving on.)

I’m going to break down the looks below and let you know where I got everything…

I think this is my fave look out of the 4! I got this blazer a few months back from NastyGal and I love it, the colour is lovely (anyone else gravitating towards this minty sage colour?) It’s been sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be worn and I fin…

I think this is my fave look out of the 4! I got this blazer a few months back from NastyGal and I love it, the colour is lovely (anyone else gravitating towards this minty sage colour?) It’s been sitting in my wardrobe waiting to be worn and I finally took it out to wear on a day out to my bedroom lol. Don’t you love when you throw on a blazer or some sort of jacket it just transforms an outfit and makes it look like you actually made an effort. The tie dye t-shirt I’m wearing is actually one of my own from my DANmade collection, if you didn’t know I make tie-dye / bleached goodies that you can check out on my Instagram @danmade_x. The sage blazer is out of stock but they still have it in black which is perfect because goes with everything.

I know this is a very bold colour and a lot of you might not be a fan, however if you’re up for wearing something loud then this one is for you. I got this oversized tee from NastyGal and I don’t know why but I was drawn to the colour and had to try it. Surprisingly I quite like it considering I don’t wear a lot of colour, I feel like this would be a great festival look so maybe we can save this one for next year (hopefully!) I’m never afraid to try something new when it comes to fashion its all part of the fun of it. I only added a few accessories to this look because I felt like the t-shirt is bright enough and didn't need much added to it.

I know I do but sometimes I want to have some colour but nothing too bright and this bleached tee is perfect for that. I paired it with cycling shorts and a cap which I haven’t worn a cap in the longest time! It’s an easy and relaxed outfit which doesn't need a lot of thought, you could even throw on a pair of joggers and you’ll have yourself the perfect lockdown outfit.

Sooo it’s been a minute since I have done a blog post and to be honest I was just feeling a bit uninspired. Sometimes I come to a stand still and everything just feels a bit blleeerrrghhh (if you know what I mean by that lol) but I always have to remind myself not to put pressure and know that it’s ok to feel unmotivated. Also I never want to force anything and put something out there for the sake of it so I just take a step back, refresh and do things that will clear my mind and give me inspiration. Whether it be a bike ride, reading a blog or watching something light hearted, whatever it is I think it’s important to do things for yourself and take some time out.

Anywhooo enough of me blabbering on about my thoughts lol I thought I’d share this random outfit I put together. I got this top from Bershka not long ago and love it so much! I’m always a sucker for a crop top and this material is lovely, it’s quite thick and stretchy. Also I like that it’s long sleeve so it is good for this cold weather which I’m not a fan of btw and it’s a bit more fancy shmancy than your regular crop top. My jeans are vintage from Sorella Boutique and for shoes I’m wearing these chunky high lace up boots from Asos (thanks Zara) which you might have seen everywhere on Instagram. I’m obsessed and I know they might not be everyones cup of tea but I’m a fan. To be honest when I put them on with the outfit I wasn’t sure at first but then I kind of liked it together. I don't really mind trying a look out even if I might not like it after, it’s just fun to play around.

So I’ve been wanting a checked blazer for a while now but couldn’t seem to find one that I really liked until one day a few weeks ago I went shopping in Sainsbury’s with my Mum and of course we looked at the clothes because that’s where Adele (my Mum) always seems to gravitate towards no matter the shop we are in. Anyway as we were having a quick mooch around, I came across this blazer which I really liked and thought why not get it and see how it looks. I got it in a size 14 because I knew I wanted it quite oversized so I could wear as a blazer dress and also I prefer oversized to give it that boyish look. The fit is really nice and also the quality is really good, I’ve tried some blazers before and the material is flimsy so doesn’t give a nice shape, whereas this one is structured but not restricting when it’s on. A blazer like this is so versatile and can be worn in so many ways, you can dress it up or down. See below to check out how I styled the blazer in 4 different ways.

1 - This look is more relaxed, something you could wear on a day out shopping or a nice lunch. The outfit is quite grungey so the blazer adds a nice contrast and smartens the look up.

2 - Your night out outfit sorted! You know when you’re going out out and don't want to wear anything tight and just be comfortable, well this is perfect. It’s easy to wear and looks dressy once you throw on a pair of heels. Btw I’m LOVING these square toe boots from PLT at the moment.

3 - This one’s my fave! It’s giving me dad vibes lol but I love the whole boxy oversized look, it’s kind of got a vintage feel to it too. I would wear this any day really because it’s an easy outfit and super comfortable. Jeans and a white top is always a go to outfit, however sometimes I want to add a little extra to change it up and this blazer is perfect for that.

4 - This outfit for me is just cute and fun. It’s simple and could be worn daily or I would even wear it going out to like a casual bar or something. You could throw on a pair of heels to make this more dressy too.

All the outfits are linked below. I’ve linked alternatives to anything that is not available anymore. xx

Happy Saturday lovely people! Just wanted to quickly share this outfit I wore last Saturday when I went to Central London which you might have seen in one of my latest posts, if not check it out on the “lifestyle” page :)

I kept this outfit quite simple and comfy, well apart from the shoes that is because they killed my feet (yes I wore my Zara boots.) I’m wearing my black Pretty Little Thing straight leg jeans, a basic white crop top from Bershka (I copied my cousin Zara with that) and an overshirt from Zara. I feel like you can’t go wrong with a black and white outfit, it’s just so easy to put together and I like that with an outfit like this I can play around with my accessories. I wore a snakeskin belt bag which I wore across my body rather than around my waist, I just prefer it like that. Also I don’t like holding big bags especially when I’m going shopping so this was perfect, it fits everything I need my phone, my pennies lol, carmex, camera and hand sanitiser of course. Omg so before I left the house my mum was trying to give me her whole cleaning cupboard, like hunny the sanitiser is all I can fit in this tiny bag of mine! Bless her she’s so extra but I love her and I guess it’s a mum thing right? I’ve linked everything I wore down below, a couple of things I bought a while ago so I linked an alternative.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, enjoy your time off if you’re not working and if you are working keep going and have a productive day! xx

Raise your hand if you’re part of the “itty bitty titty committee!”

I sure am and I embrace my little nuggets :) You know sometimes you’ve just got to work with what you’ve got. I can still hope lol. When do they say we stop growing…?

Sooo yeah that’s that…

I’m loving the whole tailored look at the moment and I’ve always been a fan of mixing menswear with womens, it always looks quite cool. I bought this tailored vest from Nasty Gal a while back and have been meaning to style it but never got round to it. Finally I did and it was actually a last minute thing, my cousin was round helping me take pictures of my previous outfit post and I thought as she’s here why not chuck on another one (thanks Fabia!) So I kind of just winged it and threw on these very distressed pair of long denim shorts that I got from Sorella Boutique and few years ago and I really liked the whole vibe of this look. Sometimes the last minute outfits are the best. It’s pretty simple and relaxed but the contrast with the smart vest and the denim I thought looked quite edgy. I know wearing the vest open is not practical and definitely a bit risk-aayy for going out, but I mean I am a fan of that look so if I was to do that I would need some serious boob tape because let’s just say the wind was not on my side when taking these pictures.

This outfit would be nice if you was going to a bar on a night out or something like that. To finish the look off, I would throw on a pair of mules, a few more gold necklaces and a nude bag. Check below to see the options I have picked out.

So I was recently browsing through Motel Rocks and omg they have sooo many nice things at the moment! I ordered a feeeww items (I just couldn’t resist) also I’m going out for bank holiday weekend so that’s my excuse for ordering a bunch of clothes (sorry not sorry) and like who doesn’t need a new outfit every time they go out. I did return a few of the items so that made me feel a bit better. Anyway enough of me trying to justify my spending, let’s talk about the dress I’m wearing. First of all, this look just makes me feel like Jessie from Toy Story and I’m here for it, hence the title (ok maybe a modern Jessie.) One thing I really like about this style of dress is the ruching and the drawstring on the sides to adjust the length. Sometimes mini dresses can be a bit too mini for me so this is perfect that I can adjust the length to my liking. Does anyone else’s Mum try and tug the dress down when you wear something mini or is it just mine lol. It’s like school years, leave the house with your skirt to your toes and then bam up it goes as soon you’re out! (I know I’m not alone on that one.) I didn’t want to add too many accessories with this outfit because I feel like the dress is a statement in itself so I styled it with my Zara boots, a black fedora hat and a western buckle belt to give me the real cowgirl vibes. I’ve linked the items below or similar if mine are out of stock. xx

“Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I’m possible!” - Audrey Hepburn

Hi lovelies :) hope you’re all doing fab! Just wanted to share this cute little set my gorgeous Mum got me from Zara the other week. I literally live in stuff like this so this set is perfect for me. The material is soo soft and stretchy that when I put them on it felt like second skin, they just moulded to my body. Co-ords like this are timeless and for me are a staple in my wardrobe as they are such an easy wear, just throw it on and bob’s your uncle! I’ve linked the set below for you guys, they do other colours too so if you wanted to mix and match or wear separately then you could do that.

Look at meeee with another hat! I don’t know who I think I am lol. I was eyeing up this straw visor hat when I went into Primark and I thought should I shouldn’t I and then I just thought meehhhh why not. I do like it on but I think I would only wear it on holiday which who knows when that will be (crying face). It definitely gives me beach vibes, I can just imagine sitting on a sun lounger with a cheeky cocktail (again crying face) but I guess the park is the closest thing I’m going to get to that at the moment. The top I’m wearing is from Pretty Little Thing (again) I think 80% of my wardrobe is from there. This was the perfect setting for this outfit, well top half of an outfit, hence why I called this earth tones. I’ve seen a lot of people post pictures sitting on the grass like this and I love the whole vibe so that’s where I got my inspiration from. See below how I would complete this outfit. xx

Flares and joggers combined, yes please! When I saw these flared joggers on Pretty Little Thing I grabbed them straight away, they are soo me! I know this style of trousers might not be everyones cup of tea but I’m definitely a fan of them. I’m also loving a split hem at the moment just something about it looks cool especially with a chunky shoe. Also, I don’t know about you but I live in joggers so it was nice to find a style that’s a bit different. Alsooo who wears a full fleece outfit on a HOT summers day please!? Yep me. Sweating is an understatement, I was dripping but had to get a pic for the blog so pretended I didn’t have water dripping from my pits and all sorts lol. They’ll be perfect for Autumn/Winter and I forgot to mention how comfy they are! The top is also PLT, the cut is really nice and I like how the sleeves are extra long again goes with the whole flare look. Is anyone else loving the colour sage at the moment because I know I am! I’ve bought quite a few items in this colour, it’s just so nice and perfect if you want to add a pop of colour to your outfit but not being too bright. I paired this outfit with these chunky boots from PLT, a mini bag from Urban Outfitters (last year) and gold accessories.

Fun fact! This was the same spot I took my first blog picture a few years ago when I had my old blog (see below.) A lot has changed since then and I believe everything happens in the right time. I used to look back and think why I stopped my blog and I think it was because I had high expectations for it. At the beginning I really enjoyed creating looks, it was fun for me and a creative hobby that I really loved. I feel like now I’ve come to the realisation and learnt that everything we do in life doesn’t have to lead to big things, if it does then amazing that’s a bonus but when you start putting pressure on something and have high expectations it takes the fun out of it. My point I’m trying to make is do what makes you happy and do things for the love and fun of it. Life is crazy and so serious sometimes that it’s nice to have something for yourself. For me this is like a scrapbook where I can be creative with my style and also write about things that I generally like and want to share. If you are true to yourself then everything else will follow.

Anyway, enough of the blabbering lol lets give you my outfit details :)

So my whole outfit is pretty much all Pretty Little Thing apart from the boots, they’re from Zara. I have a love hate relationship with these boots, I love them so much but they kill my feet! But it’s all good I just suck it up and deal with the pain. This was also my first time wearing a bucket hat and i’m kindaaa liking it. I wasn’t sure how it would look and if it would even suit me but I actually quite like it so I might have to buy a few more in different colours. I’m not really a hat person either but it’s fun to play around sometimes and step out of my comfort zone. I thought these trousers were really cute and for £10 they are an absolute bargain, they fit really nice and are so comfortable and lightweight so could wear during summer and winter. I’ve linked all the items below, my Zara boots are sold out because I got them a while ago but found a very similar pair on Bershka. xx

Another outfit post I know but I can’t help it I just love to play dress up! :) Alsooo I found my new spot to take pictures down an ally way near where I live which is great because it’s right on my doorstep. I love the whole vibe of this setting so you’ll defo be seeing this background in more of my outfit posts.

I had so much fun creating this hairstyle that I had to do a whole look, so I chose something quite simple as I wanted the hair to be the statement. The top is actually a bikini top I got from Primark recently, I thought the shape and fit of the top was quite flattering considering I only have little nuggets to fill it in haha. The jeans are from pretty little thing and they are my fave jeans atm! I’m quite funny when it comes to jeans and the fit, I’m not really a fan of skinny jeans anymore I mainly go for a straight leg or a mom jean. I’m sure a lot of you would agree that finding a good fit can be hard, they either fit perfect on the thighs and legs but big round the waist or vice versa (the struggle is real I know!) However these fit perfectly and I know in the top pics it looks like I could fit a whole handbag in the gap (I’m just imagining a scene from Mary Poppins) but I think that was just where I was crouching down. I paired the outfit with some perspex mules from Ego, a mini bag (OBSESSED with mini bags) and some gold jewellery. I will try my best to link everything below and if some items are out of stock then I’ll find an alternative for you. :)

Oh and thanks to the bird who made the shot just in time, you worked it hunny!

Not very me

So I’m not usually a floral print type of girl but when I saw this dress it just caught my eye. I picked it up from Tesco (where I buy my best clothes nanananana hey! Did anyone else used to sing that song?) in the lingerie section, I mean who would tell it’s nightwear and that’s what I love about fashion that there are no rules! The fit is lovely and it’s just so effortless. I threw on a pair of dm’s (which I stole from my brother’s girlfriend, thanks Rachael) and was good to go. Minimal effort I know but it’s a cute outfit and the dress is so versatile, you could throw on a pair of black strappy heels, some hoop earrings, maybe hair loosely tied up in a messy bun with a red lip and you have yourself a sexy evening look. The dress was only £14 too so that was a bar-gain! Originally when I bought this dress I envisioned myself running through the fields all angelic and ladylike. Well that went downhill… literally!

So this is what really goes down when taking pictures, tbh I blame Zara (my bestie) for egging me on lol.

So if you know me you know I love anything comfy. Whether it’s joggers (which you’ll soon find out I live in them) cycling shorts or baggy tees, comfy casual is definitely my vibe. I’ve seen the whole boxer short trend go around and I’m definitely a fan. I found this little set on Misspap and had to have it! The fit is great, the material is thick and stretchy so sucks you in in all the right places haha, also they’re not see through which is amazeballs. I would also wear the set separately, I feel the top could literally go with anything. Only thing I wish I sized down in the top as my little nuggets don’t fill it in lol but apart from that the set is true to size (I wear a size 8uk in both). The set comes in a few colours, however the sizes might be limited which I’m not surprised. So if you want it I would go grab it quick! The white is sold out but I’ve link the other colours below..
